Yesterday was the first in a 3-part workshop series for professional musicians I led on online marketing for musicians. It was hosted by Tipitina’s Music Office Co-Op in New Orleans.
We covered the basics of the music business and the philosophy of new media. Then we got deeper into the attendees’ own goals, identifying their personas, strengths, and thus fan niche. I hope the exercises used provided each person there something to mull over at home.
We had a full house, so the next in the series (December 15 at 4pm) will initially only be open to those who attended the first session. The remaining open seats with open to the public on December 5. The title of the workshop is:

This workshop will be presented at the Music Co-Op Office at 4040 Tulane Ave. (in the Fountainbleau Storage complex at the corner of Tulane & Carrollton).
