Who I am
There is nothing more gratifying to me than to work in the background of a powerful project.
I have worked in the music industry since 1993. I started out as a professional singer but have jumped around the scene trying as many things as I can since then. My favorite credits include working with the Academy-Award-winning music team of Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring; working with Wynton Marsalis to expand his original score of All Rise; managing the independent jazz record label, NYC Records Inc.; composing and conducting an internationally-broadcast 9/11 tribute; and publishing the Mike Mainieri Songbook series (transcribing, engraving, and distributing the book with the help of the legendary vibraphonist).
I started my career on the Mississippi Gulf Coast as a cantor, graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston with a degree in film scoring, and formed GromKo. in New York City in 1999. GromKo.’s New Orleans office is now open.
I love helping musicians make their music come alive, and I plan to continue exploring new ways to do so.
